Design Lab 101 is inviting just 68 secondary schools across Australia to become Foundational Members as part of our inaugural national cohort.
These schools will be recognised as the original partners helping to shape a new pathway for students exploring interior design and creative careers.
Foundational Membership is permanent and will only ever be offered to this first group of schools.
It is our way of recognising and celebrating schools that are leading the way in providing future-focused opportunities for their students.

An Exclusive Foundational Benefit
Up to 60 student places
Instead of the standard 30, receive up to 60 student places for the balance of 2026 and throughout 2027
60 places again in 2028
When you renew your participation for 2028, you will again secure up to 60 students places instead of 30.
Use across varying year levels
Distribute your 60 places across different year levels to suit your students and school community.
Fresh allocation each period
There is no requirement to use all places. Unused places do not carry forward. Each participation period begins with a fresh allocation.
Use 20 places, 40 places or all 60 - the choice is yours.
The additional capacity is there when your school needs it, without any obligation to use it.
Designed to Fit Your School
Design Lab 101 can be wholly or partially incorporated into your curriculum, complement existing subjects, or offered to students to complete independently outside school hours.

Teacher Involvement — As Much or as Little as You Wish
Teachers can have as much or as little involvement in Design Lab 101 as your school chooses.
The program is designed to create a meaningful oppurtunity for students, without adding an unnessary workload for teachers or staff.
