Your Interior Design Tutor

Jill has been designing in Australia, Singapore, United States, England, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands for more than 30 years, incorporating residential, resorts, medical, aged care and retirement village design, along with hospitality and commercial featuring in her broad sphere of works.

After many years in the interior design industry, Jill identified a gap in early design education-particularly for students considering design as a career. She created Design Lab 101, a 12-module, interactive course designed to give aspiring designers real insight into the profession before committing to years of study.

This program introduces students to the core principles of interior design, guiding them through real client briefs, space planning exercises, and hands-on project work. Whether they’re designing a dream bedroom, conceptualising a café layout, or experimenting with colour palettes, each module is structured to build both skill and confidence.

By the end of the course, students will have completed several practical design challenges and gained a clear understanding of what it means to be an interior designer-from day-to-day work to global study options and qualifications.

Alongside her professional projects, Jill now dedicates her time to mentoring students through Design Lab 101-helping the next generation of designers explore their potential and take their first steps into the world of design.
