Individual student enrolment agreement
Version date: 5 October 2026. Effective date: 5 October 2026. Read these terms with the completed order schedule and Privacy Policy before acceptance. They explain the service, permitted use, payment, access and complaint arrangements.
Design Lab 101 is operated by Jillian Dawn Rogers, ABN 22279752524, trading as Design Lab 101. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that operator. “You” means the adult purchaser named in the order schedule. Contact Jill Rogers at [email protected], or mobile +61 410 558 769 or PO Box 65, Bellbowrie.
Website: www.DesignLab101.com.au.
The agreement consists of these terms and the order schedule agreed before purchase. The agreement begins when you accept the offer and we confirm the order. Any separately negotiated agreement may modify these terms where it expressly says so. An invoice cannot introduce new terms after acceptance. Nothing in this agreement removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Design Lab 101 is an introductory online interior design course with 15 modules, learning activities and quizzes. It helps students explore the field and develop work for a starter folio. It is not an accredited qualification and does not provide nationally recognised vocational training or professional registration. A certificate of completion confirms completion of the stated course requirements; it is not a qualification.
We do not guarantee college admission, recognition of prior learning, employment or a particular result. Those decisions depend on the relevant institution, employer and the student’s work. This does not limit any responsibility we have for descriptions or promises made about the service.
The order schedule specifies the named student, included resources and support, total fee, payment dates and exact access period. Only resources and services included in that offer form part of the purchase. Future features are not included unless expressly agreed. Ask Jill is not part of the initial service under these terms; any later introduction requires updated service and privacy information and any necessary agreement or consent.
A suitable computer, internet connection and basic digital skills are needed. Before purchase we provide the current technical requirements. Students may use third-party tools such as Canva, RoomSketcher or SketchUp. Any required third-party subscriptions, physical samples, printing and project materials must be disclosed before purchase; otherwise they are optional. External tools have their own terms and privacy practices.
An individual enrolment provides access for the one named student for the agreed period. It does not permit shared logins or use by other family members as additional students. An adult purchaser may assist a student without creating extra enrolments. A student under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or guardian with appropriate authority. We do not rely on a child’s checkbox as the adult purchaser’s contract acceptance.
Students may view and download materials made available to their account for their own learning, retaining copyright notices. This does not authorise classroom distribution, resale or public posting.
The order schedule identifies when access starts and ends. Access is not lifelong unless the accepted offer expressly provides it. Accounts may close at expiry. Students should download permitted work before that date; we will provide a reasonable expiry reminder. Renewal is by a new agreed order, not automatic payment. An extension or transfer is not guaranteed, but requests will be considered reasonably, including where a material interruption is our responsibility.
Users must keep passwords secure, provide accurate account information and report suspected unauthorised access. They must not impersonate another person, bypass access controls, interfere with the platform, upload malicious files, harass others or publish unlawful material. Parents and guardians support children enrolled individually as appropriate. We remain responsible for the service and safeguards we provide.
Course tasks are learning exercises. Students must use tools and materials safely, follow manufacturer instructions and obtain appropriate adult supervision. Do not carry out structural work, electrical work or other regulated building tasks using course examples. Real projects need suitably qualified advice, approvals and compliance with current local requirements. Educational examples do not replace project-specific professional advice.
Copyright in original Design Lab 101 materials remains with the provider or identified rights holder. Third-party materials remain owned by their respective owners. The licence grants the uses expressly described here; it does not transfer ownership. No further reproduction, distribution, sale or public sharing is permitted without written permission, except where allowed by law.
Students retain rights in their own original project work. They may use their own mood boards, drawings, photographs and written work in personal folios and college applications, including after access ends, subject to other people’s copyright and privacy rights. They may identify the project as completed through Design Lab 101.
Course worksheets or brief extracts may accompany the work where necessary to explain the task, with attribution; this does not permit reproducing whole lessons or selling our course content.
By uploading work, a student permits us and authorised service providers to store, display and process it only as reasonably needed to deliver the course, provide support and administer the individual enrolment, subject to the Privacy Policy and retention arrangements. This permission does not authorise public promotional use, AI model training or use in another commercial product. We request separate specific permission before publishing identifiable student work, photographs or testimonials.
Our Privacy Policy explains enrolment information, uploads, progress records, authorised access, security, retention, overseas handling and privacy requests. A privacy acknowledgement confirms the notice was made available; it is not blanket consent to every possible use. Access to student records is restricted according to role
and the authority of the requester.
BeeSavvy supplies the course platform. We may use an onboarding assistant and other authorised service providers for delivery and administration. We remain responsible for our contractual obligations and applicable privacy duties when using providers. Personal information must not be sent to a future AI service without the appropriate notices and lawful authority. Users should avoid unnecessary real-client details or sensitive information in uploads.
Support methods and any included sessions are specified in the order schedule. We provide reasonable assistance with access problems and course enquiries within the agreed support scope. Scheduled sessions are subject to the arrangements stated in the offer. We do not promise continuous availability or immediate replies.
We will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where practicable and work to resolve faults promptly.
The agreed total price and payment dates are shown before acceptance and recorded in the order schedule. We do not charge undisclosed additional fees. We may require payment before activating access where the agreed offer says so. For a disputed invoice, contact us promptly; we will consider the dispute before suspending access
for the disputed amount.
As an additional contractual benefit, a purchaser who cancels before accounts are activated and before course materials are supplied receives a full refund. After either event, a change of mind, non-use or failure to complete does not by itself give a contractual refund entitlement. We may agree a refund, credit or transfer on request.
Any more generous written offer applies. These provisions do not restrict statutory cooling-off rights, consumer guarantees or remedies for misleading conduct or service failures.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where consumer guarantees apply, services must be supplied with due care and skill, be fit for a disclosed purpose where required, and be supplied within a reasonable time if no time is agreed.
If the service fails to meet an applicable guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy, including rectification, cancellation, a refund or compensation, depending on the circumstances and law. Contact us with details so we can assess and resolve the issue. No checkbox waives these rights. If a substantial interruption prevents the agreed use, we will discuss an appropriate remedy, which may include restoring access, an extension or a refund for services not supplied. Any legal entitlement takes priority.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious security risk, unlawful conduct, substantial licence misuse or material breach. Except where urgent action is necessary, we explain the issue and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond and remedy it. Restrictions should be proportionate and, where practicable, limited to affected accounts. We will explain any termination and assess refunds and other rights under the agreement and law.
We may make corrections and updates that do not materially reduce the agreed service. Material changes to price, access period, included services or rights under an existing purchase require agreement or another lawful basis. We will not rely on a website update alone to impose those changes. If we discontinue an included service and cannot provide an acceptable agreed alternative, you may cancel the affected part and receive an appropriate refund, without limiting statutory rights.
Each party remains responsible for its own conduct and obligations, including loss caused by its own breach or wrongful conduct, subject to applicable law. We remain responsible for obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact Jill Rogers using the details in clause 1 with a complaint and the outcome sought. We aim to
respond within 30 days and explain any delay. Either party may use an applicable regulator, court or tribunal; urgent relief is not delayed by the complaint process.
Queensland law and applicable Commonwealth law govern this agreement. Courts and tribunals with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute. This does not remove mandatory protections or forum rights applying elsewhere. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to the extent lawful. Contractual notices must be sent to
the agreed contact; notices to students and families must also use appropriate channels.
